Customer
easyJet

Scope of Requirements
In November 2007 easyJet entered the corporate travel sector by adding GDS links to Amadeus and Galileo.

A characteristic of this market is the high number of verbal reservations made by professional and in-house travel bureau and these calls needed to collected and transported to easyJet’s pan-European contact centre.

In an effort to consolidate their leadership position in the Low Cost Carrier market, GDS trials in Germany, France, Spain and the UK needed to be implemented extremely quickly.

Solution Provided
Toll-Free / Toll Share Call collection services were deployed for major customer markets with specific ‘GDS only’ numbers for reservations, help lines and customer services.

The time criticality of the project necessitated deployment of services in days not weeks.

Financial Benefits
A requisite to getting market share was the need to provide a high quality / high availability service to the corporate travel sector.

The pilot project is a success and Amadeus are now making easyJet flights available to all eligible agencies worldwide.
